I got to say that after playing your game it does capture that classic arcade space scroll shooter. I also appreciate the abstract art for your game. If I could suggest about two needs, which the first suggestion is to include a parade of enemies attack formation coming from the top and bottom screen for variety. Used the classic arcade game called Galaga for example. The second suggestion is change the HUD font for the kill count to aqua font and slightly larger. I hope these suggestions would help your game.
